Are you interested in an internship, summer job, or full-time job with the U.S. federal government or private companies?
Apply for the Federal Government’s Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP). On-campus phone interviews will take place this fall semester. The WRP is a recruitment program for students and recent graduates with disabilities, and serves as a primary pipeline for bringing new talent into the federal government. Applicants will also have access to a robust database of employers in the private sector seeking to hire candidates with a disability.
Participating in the WRP is an excellent way to:
- Find an internship or permanent position at federal agencies or private companies
- Opportunity to access jobs with F500 companies worldwide
- Explore careers in the federal service
- Gain Interviewing experience
Applicants for the program must:
– Have a disability
– Be a U.S. citizen
– Be eligible for hiring under the Schedule A Hiring Authority
– Be a current, full-time, degree-seeking, post-secondary student OR have graduated from such an institution within the past year (April 2017)
Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply to the WRP program.
Students may also participate if they meet all the other requirements of the program but are taking a reduced course load due to a disability or if they are taking less than a substantially full-time load in the enrollment period immediately prior to graduation.
Student registration for this program opens on August 27 and must be complete by October 15th. To register, students should visit this site!
*In order to participate in the WRP program, students must complete an online application and upload a resume and transcript prior to the time of their interview with the WRP recruiter.
All phone interviews will be conducted between October 29 and November 19, 2018.
Students are encouraged to make an appointment with Mr. Jan Van Dyke to help prepare for the job interview, resume and application process. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org All appointments will take place at the Career Development Center, 625 North Jordan Ave. Good luck!
