Updated: Change in Services in Response to Coronavirus

Indiana University has been actively monitoring the rapidly evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and providing regular updates to the IU community as the situation changes.

The Walter Center is dedicated to continuing to serve the College of Arts + Sciences community. Per university guidelines, the following changes in services will occur through the end of the Spring Semester:

  • Career coaching appointments will occur virtually via Zoom. If you have a career coaching appointment scheduled during this time period, you will be provided with further instructions via email.
  • Career Courses will be taught virtually. If you are a student in one of our courses, please check Canvas and contact your course instructor with any concerns.
  • Career Studio drop-in coaching hours will occur virtually and Walter Center staff will be available to chat via Facebook Messenger during business hours. If you’re interested in a drop-in appointment, please reach out to us on Messenger.

3/23 update:
Due to the Indiana Governor’s stay-home order, Ernie Pyle Hall is now closed. We are no longer taking interview room bookings for virtual interviews at this time.

This is a situation where information and guidance is evolving daily, often unpredictably. The Walter Center will continue to adapt as IU adapts its policies to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The IU community is encouraged to stay informed via a dedicated website, which includes daily updates.

If you have questions or concerns please contact our front desk by calling (812) 856-4278 or emailing iuwalter@iu.edu. The Walter Center remains open for virtual services. Ernie Pyle Hall is closed.
