About this Organization:
Established in 1905, the American Advertising Federation (AAF) is the only organization that includes members across all disciplines and career levels in advertising. Whether you’re new to the fast-paced world of advertising or a seasoned professional, the AAF is for you. We’re here to help you advance your career, build your connections and celebrate this ever-changing, amazing industry we work in. Although our programs are not limited to, student members, the AAF provides valuable insights into the worlds of advertising, connections and even job opportunities that will help propel your advertising career. Are you a student or an educator in an advertising program at your college or university? Get in the advertising know by becoming a member of the AAF. You may have heard of one of the AAF’s signature programs, the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). However, being a college chapter member also provides countless other career development opportunities, learning experiences and even some fun while connecting you to future and current advertising professionals.
Build Experience: Connect to advertising professionals. Receive career advice. Find internships and jobs. Develop and exercise your advertising talent. Build and gain leadership skills.
Gain Recognition: Be recognized for your talent and leadership skills within your chapter, across your district and nationally. Participate in NSAC at the district level and at the AAF National Conference. Participate in Mosaic Career Fair & Conference Enter the Student American Advertising Awards.
Connect: Visit advertising agencies and other related businesses. Attend local Ad Club professional meetings. Go to the annual Student Advertising Career Conference. Meet people who share your passion, both on and off-campus.
Access Resources: Apply to win academic scholarships and grants. Receive member discounts to services and products that help you stay current and successful in the industry. Share ideas with other students and professionals.
About the Program:
The AAF’s Most Promising Multicultural Students program connects the advertising industry with the nation’s top multicultural college seniors. This experience provides opportunities to recruit fresh talent and further prepare the advertising industry’s best young prospects, as well as help the advertising and media workforce better reflect the diversity of today’s society.
By going virtual for 2021, the program has a unique opportunity to broaden our reach and impact. The program not only honors the students but enhances their knowledge and understanding of the advertising industry. Most Promising 2021 will offer networking & personal brand coaching breakout sessions, video-enhanced interviewing, and multiple live stream industry lead immersions with advertising, marketing, and media professionals.
