The Walter Center for Career Achievement is pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 Connect Challenge Pitch Competition:
Creative Endeavors
Winner: Peng Dynasty by Heidi Peng
Runner up: TURDS by Emily Davis
Nonprofit and Social Good
Winner: Habitat Sartorial by Payne Vogtman
Runner Up: The Duro Collection by Eduardo Duro
Startups, Tech, and Inventions
Winner: Concilium by Micah Roberson, Parth Kapil, Jay Amlani, and Arpan Ojha
Runner up: No Waste Plant Based by Mara Flynn & Donald McAninch
The winners were announced at the Connect Conference, Friday, February 25th after delivering their pitches to a panel of judges. Winners and runners-up in each category receive scholarship money, up to $2,000, along with other gifts, including a part-time membership to The Mill.
The Connect Challenge is an idea pitch competition for the IU College of Arts + Sciences. Students are invited to share their innovative ideas, and winners are awarded a prize package to help bring the idea to life. This year’s Connect Challenge was sponsored by the Dimension Mill, IU Ventures, and the IU Shoemaker Innovation Center.
