Amy Cornell

Senior Associate Director, Alumni Engagement

Amy Cornell

Amy was raised in Northeastern Ohio on the shores of Lake Erie where she spent her summers hanging out at the beach, eating Dairy Queen and working retail at the local Mall.  She completed her BS in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University and an MS in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Indiana University. Soon after graduation, she sailed aboard Semester at Sea as a Resident Director which only increased her appetite for travel and understanding world cultures.

Since then, she has worked at IU in housing, advising, experiential learning, and student leadership. She lives in Bloomington with her husband, son and daughter. In her free time she loves to travel, read, write and tell stories. She has a passion for spreading the good news about the importance of the humanities and liberal arts in education. She looks forward to engaging with alumni and connecting them to current students.
