"How to Get a Job in the U.S." w/ IU Alumnus Lawrence Nah

International students face many barriers in searching for full-time jobs in the United States. Who is better to speak about this topic than someone who has “been there, done that,” and come out on top?

Come hear about the mistakes made and ultimate successes achieved by a former Kelley School of Business international student, Lawrence Joshua Nah, as he navigated his time at IU and learned how to break into the US job market.

Lawrence will be speaking about his book, What’s Next? – The International Student’s Guide to the U.S College and Job Search Process, and sharing strategies for current international students to improve their chances of success in landing full-time positions.

What to Expect

Come dressed as you are and bring questions you have for Mr. Nah and how he achieved success early in his career! He will give a presentation followed by time for Q&A.

Pizza will be served, so bring your friends! Plus, all students who stay till the end will have a chance to win a fabulous prize!

Lawrence Joshua Nah is passionate about helping international students achieve their goal of landing a job in the United States. He has been invited to guest speak at well-known U.S universities like University of California at Berkeley, Indiana University in Bloomington and San Francisco State University to share about his recruitment strategies.

Lawrence received a Bachelor of Science in Finance (Honors) and Master of Science in Information Systems at Indiana University’s (Bloomington) Kelley School of Business. After graduation, he moved to San Francisco in 2010 to work for Ernst & Young’s Financial Services Advisory Group as a Management Consultant. He is currently an M.B.A candidate at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.

Can’t make the 12p.m. event? No worries–Lawrence will be speaking again from 6p.m. – 7p.m. in HH 1030.
