Brown Medical School researchers working at Butler Hospital are seeking a Research Assistant for NIH-funded studies focused on a) yoga for chronic pain in people with opioid use disorder; b) understanding needs of pregnant and post-partum women with opioid use disorder; and c) other studies of innovative treatments for substance use disorder and mood disorders.
Responsibilities: Position includes screening, recruiting and interviewing study participants, managing research data, and collaborating with other study staff in related duties.
Knowledge of clinical research procedures and experience conducting diagnostic interviews preferred. Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
A successful applicant will be motivated and detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have strong organizational and communication skills.
Position is full time and involves opportunities for developing clinical and research skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Requirements: BA in psychology or related experience required. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekend hours is required. As data collection may be off-site at community agencies, applicants need to provide their own transportation.
