Cognito Comics is relaunching its flagship app, Operation Ajax, as an online experience. With this relaunch, there is an opportunity to update and expand the content within the experience, and we are looking for paid interns to assist with various aspects of the project.
Areas of support include
- User Testing + Research
- Product Development
- Social Media + Administrative
Rate – $15 / hr
- Flexible hours / week, TBD
- Estimate between 2 – 5hrs / week, possibly more at during key events (like a product launch)
- Start time – immediate
- Location – remote, entirely done online / over the phone
Available Positions:
User Testing + Research (Part-time hire)
Overview
- Perform user testing on desktop and mobile versions of the app across various devices
- Capture and synthesize findings on UI / UX, onboarding, and general product usage
- Provide insights and recommendations as we update / evolve the product over time
Tasks
- Provide general research support to the project at the direction of Cognito personnel
- Present findings in organized documents, including google spreadsheets and google docs
- User Testing + Research
- Refinement of the UX / UI / and content through user research of the desktop and mobile experience
- Run user testing sessions and report findings / make recommendations
- Analytics + Data
- Use the Google Analytics and Cubicast analytics to deduce audience insights throughout the testing of the product, as part of User Testing + Research above
- Customer / Audience research
- Create a comprehensive understanding of our target market(s) for both mainstream offering and education offering to help guide the project strategy

- Exhibits good practices + methods, uses time efficiently and effectively
- Passionate about the subject matter a plus

Social Media / Promotion / Admin Assistant (Part-time hire)
Overview
- As Ajax relaunches, need to promote it out to the greater world
- Need a graduated plan as the project goes from being in stealth through Alpha, Beta, and eventually, launch
- Part time, hours / compensation tbd as it could vary depending on the state of the project
- Depending on your skillset, responsibilities could expand to handle / field all communication and outreach around the project in general

- Promote the book / project / company on social media by engaging with twitter, Instagram, facebook, and other relevant platforms to help us build awareness and audience engagement as the product gets rebirthed
- Engage with the Cognito network and its advisors to help execute a project expansion and company reformation
- Future
- Schedule and participate in meetings, create agendas, track to do items, keep team organized and on track

- Can develop and write in different voices depending on the circumstances

- Understanding of online tools including GSuite and CRM software
- Can help advise / build out a CRM database / workflow for managing relationships
- Basic understanding of graphic / visual design
- Can take assets from the project and repackage / modify for posting to social media (imagery, video, etc)
