A reporter researches and writes news stories. Reporters conduct interviews, on the phone or in person, and select soundbites for air. They may also package stories, which includes recording voice-over and editing together pieces. Reporters might also record and edit interviews. Some reporters may be assigned beats. Reporters are encouraged to get photographs for their stories.
