What is Teach for America?
Teach For America is a national network of leaders working to expand access to educational opportunities for students—starting in the classroom.
"If you love kids and believe that the world can be different because we make it different, then Teach For America is the right place for you." - Andrew McRae
Teach For America Corps
Still figuring out the right next step after graduation? Spend two years honing your leadership, facilitation, and project management skills while making a measurable impact in your community. Join a powerful, national network of change makers, and take the first step toward a career that combines purpose and impact: leading students to success while developing the resume and relationships to drive change wherever your path leads.
As a corps member, you'll be hired by a local school and receive the same salary, vacation, and benefits as other first-year teachers. Teach for America also offers additional financial support to help with the transition into your new role with need-based grants and loans, access to graduate school scholarships, a stipend for summer training living expenses, and more. You'll also be surrounded by support, mentorship, and a community that truly has your back.
"This is the strongest network I've ever encountered of bright people committed to helping communities grow." - A.T. McWilliams
Career Path
From day one, you'll take on the kind of leadership most people wait years for. You'll lead a classroom, build professional skills, and walk away with experiences that will make you stand out to future employers. You'll also plan strategically, adapt quickly, communicate clearly, lead with empathy, and deliver meaningful results—skills that will help you thrive in whatever you want to do next.
