Relay for Life at Indiana University
The American Cancer Society Colleges Against Cancer is a nationwide collaboration of college students, faculty, and staff dedicated to saving lives from cancer by initiating and supporting programs of the American Cancer Society on college campuses.
“Our Mission is to Save Lives, Celebrate Lives, & Lead the Fight For a World Without Cancer”
Our Event
Relay For Life is a team fundraising cancer walk event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Our Colleges Against Cancer event is 4 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track always to signify that cancer never sleeps. On 500 high school and college campuses in 47 states, Relay For Life is the largest global movement, spanning 29 countries, to eradicate cancer.
Our Success Story
With your help, the American Cancer Society is saving lives that might otherwise be lost to cancer. Since 1991, there have been almost 2.4 million fewer cancer deaths because of two decades of consistent declines in cancer deaths rates. We’re on a mission to free the world from cancer. Until we do, we’ll be funding and conducting research, sharing expert information, supporting patients, and spreading the word about prevention. All so you can live longer — and better.
