The Socially Responsible Investing Club is a club intended to help students learn about what it means to invest responsibly, while still maintaining profit. The club has two main parts to it. The first part of the club is learning about what it means to invest in companies with their societal impacts in mind, along with how to do it while still maintaining equal if not better profits than regular investments. The second part to the club is putting this to action through a mock hedge fund. This would entail putting the students into groups where they will have the opportunity first hand to practice what they have been learning throughout their membership in the club. The members of the club will be competing to see who can maintain the most profit, while also only investing in companies that meet the requirements to be considered a company that is responsible to society.
