Our organization exists solely to serve the student body in the Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance.
We work to improve the academic experience for students in the Department, serving as a liaison between students and staff. We take student feedback from meetings and surveys, then communicate this feedback to the faculty. We also participate in departmental play selection meetings to advocate for the productions that best represent our student body.
We are also the center of social life in the department. We hold social events and fundraisers throughout the year in preparation for our department’s year-end award ceremony, Drama Prom. Drama Prom is the highlight of our year as it is a chance for students, faculty, and donors to gather and celebrate the accomplishments of our students over the course of the school year.
In addition, we organize a number of outreach programs, including a student mentorship program, workshops with professional theatre artists, prospective student outreach, theatrical sustainability projects, and a trip to the Kennedy Center American Collegiate Theatre Festival.
