Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity at Indiana University School of Optometry (SVOSH-IUSO) is a recognized student chapter of VOSH International whose focus is to provide professional volunteer eyecare all over the world for those most in need. Our student VOSH chapter is open to all optometry, optician, optometric technicians, and vision science students at Indiana University. Optometric services, such as full dilated eye exams, are provided to those in need within our community and across the globe. This year we will be traveling to Negril, Jamaica to provide full dilated examinations to 1,000 children in need. IUSO SVOSH is also very involved in the Bloomington community by also providing eye exams and volunteering for different organizations. We provide full exams at the MLK Jr. Day of Vision located in the Atwater Eye Care Center and volunteer at local schools to inform the public about the importance of eye exams. We also volunteer for local organization such as the Community Kitchen.
