Meet with a Career Coach 🧑💻
A key feature of the Walter Center ispersonalized career coaching services. Career coaches work one-on-one with you to develop tailored career strategies with your aspirations, background, and interests in mind, including just-for-you advice based on your unique situation.
Whether you're figuring out your interests or actively seeking to enter the workforce, career coaches work with you to create an actionable plan. In career coaching, you can discover your likes and dislikes when it comes to work, receive feedback on your application materials, practice interviewing, and discuss what to do in specific circumstances. Through career coaching, you'll leave IU with all the tools you need to take your next step.
Work with a Peer Coach in the Career Studio 👋
Working with our professionally trained peer coaches can be the difference between getting the job or getting passed over – even if the job is club president. The Career Studio's casual environment is the perfect, low-key spot for resume reviews, cover letter help, learning about searching for jobs, or just asking questions to someone who's been in your shoes before. Our peer coaches will help you lock in and get stuff done.
Best part? No appointment is needed – just let the Welcome Desk on the 2nd floor know you'd like to see a peer coach.
The Career Studio is open Monday through Thursday, 12-3 p.m., except on campus holidays and breaks.Visit us in person, or find us wherever you and the wifi roam by using the Zoom room.Either way, you’ll leave the Career Studio with a finished product and the confidence to use your new skills in the future.

The Walter Center offers classes designed to complement your academic experience with career preparation.Design Your Life and Career (ASCS-Q295)is a 16-week class that helps students identify theircareer values, strengths, and interestswhile developing long-term professional plans.
Build Your Job and Internship Toolkit (ASCS-Q299)teaches the ins and outs of job searching, networking, and professional storytelling over 8 weeks. Our courses equip you with the knowledge and confidence to tackle the job market head-on after graduation and satisfy credit requirements.Talk to your advisor and add one to your schedulenext semester!
